Angus Cloud, best known for playing Fezco in the first two seasons of HBO’s Euphoria, is dead at the age of 25.
Sad news today as it has been reported that Angus Cloud is dead at the age of 25. The actor is best known for playing Fezco on HBO’s Euphoria, a young drug dealer with a big heart who views Rue (Zendaya) as a little sister. He was a main character in the first two seasons of the series.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” Angus Cloud’s family said in a statement. “As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.“
In addition to his work on Euphoria, Angus Cloud can be seen in Mikey Alfred’s North Hollywood and Ethan Berger’s The Line. He recently wrapped on Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden’s Freaky Tales, a “wholly original, immersive film inspired by Ryan’s experience growing up in the bay. The film is comprised of four interconnected stories each featuring distinct characters, real-life locations and noteworthy historical events (some real, some imagined).” He was also cast in a Universal Monsters movie by Scream VI directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
The third season of Euphoria hasn’t yet started production, but the series will surely miss Cloud’s presence. “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud,” HBO said in a statement. “He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.” Our thoughts go out to Angus Cloud’s family and friends; 25 is far too young. You will be missed.
