Sharknado: Syfy celebrates 10th anniversary with all-day marathon

Syfy will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sharknado with an all-day marathon of all six Sharknado movies

Somehow ten years have already passed since the first Sharknado made its way out into the world – and as if being featured on legendary movie host Joe Bob Briggs’ Shudder series The Last Drive-In recently wasn’t already enough of an honor, Syfy has now announced they’ll be celebrating the tenth anniversary of Sharknado with an all-day Sharknado movie marathon!

Ten years ago, a global phenomenon swept the country with the birth of the greatest franchise about sharks and tornadoes that ever existed. Starring Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, Sharknado follows a group of friends who try to save the world from theses deadly storms chomping through the skies. SYFY presents an all-day Sharknado movie marathon in celebration of the cult-classic’s 10th anniversary. Revisit fin-tastic stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, along with guest stars Vivica A. Fox, Marc McGrath, Olivia Newton-John, and more.

The marathon is set to begin at 12pm Eastern and Pacific on Tuesday, July 18th. At first, the movies will be presented in reverse order. I’m not sure why channels like to do that sometimes, but they do it quite often. Then the movies will be presented in the proper order for the second half of the marathon. Here’s the line-up:

12 p.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO: THE 4TH AWAKENS

2 p.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO 3: OH HELL NO!

4 p.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE

6 p.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO

8 p.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE (Repeat)

10 p.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO 3: OH HELL NO! (Repeat)

12 a.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO: THE 4TH AWAKENS (Repeat)

2 a.m. ET/PT, SHARKNADO 5: GLOBAL SWARMING

4 a.m. ET/PT, THE LAST SHARKNADO: IT’S ABOUT TIME

Are you a Sharknado fan, and will you be tuning in for this marathon? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

I have seen the first Sharknado a couple times and have never gotten much out of it. I attempted to watch Sharknado 2: The Second One and that didn’t go well, so I’ve never seen any of the other sequels… but I might just have to indulge in a Sharknado marathon one of these days to see what I’ve been missing out on. If not next Tuesday, maybe I’ll have a marathon at some other point down the line.
