Hulu releases official Solar Opposites season 4 trailer which offers new voices, new buttholes, and sci-fi adventures.
Hulu has released the official Solar Opposites season 4 trailer. The animated sci-fi comedy was created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan, and if I’m being honest with myself… I might love it more than Rick and Morty.
You might have noticed that Korvo is sounding a little different in the Solar Opposites season 4 trailer, and that’s because Hulu replaced previous voice actor Justin Roiland with Dan Stevens. The streaming service axed Roiland after he had been charged with felony domestic abuse, but those charges were dismissed in March. “This case was dismissed as a result of insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt,” said Orange County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Kimberly Edds.
Justin Roiland took to social media to comment on the charges against him being dismissed. “I have always known that these claims were false — and I never had any doubt that this day would come,” Roiland said. “I’m thankful that this case has been dismissed but, at the same time, I’m still deeply shaken by the horrible lies that were reported about me during this process. Most of all, I’m disappointed that so many people were so quick to judge without knowing the facts.”
Solar Opposites centers around a group of aliens who crash land in suburban America after fleeing their exploding home world. In between adjusting to life on Earth, Korvo (originally voiced by Justin Roiland and now voiced by Dan Stevens), Terry (Thomas Middleditch), Jesse (Mary Mack), and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) must protect Pupa, a living super-computer who will one day evolve into its true form and terraform the Earth.
As far as who will replace Justin Roiland on Rick and Morty, that hasn’t been revealed, but the team did say that they were nearly at the end of the process. Unlike how Solar Opposites handled the voice change, it’s expected that the new voices of Rick and Morty will be as similar as possible to the originals.
The fourth season of Solar Opposites will debut on Hulu on August 14th. The series has already been renewed for a fifth season.
